Why do I say that? Because there are too many Amateurs in Michigan. there is nor Licensing for Interior Designers while everybody else in the home construction field has to be licensed. That leaves a Big Gaping Hole.

I am the consummate “Attention to Detail Person.” I am a consummate orchestrator. I am always looking at everything and how everything fits together. This kind of attention to detail is sorely lacking. In design everything affects everything else. To think otherwise is asinine.
I’ve been in this business for 40 years. I’ve also led architects, because even they don’t have a total handle on complete and comprehensive interior design down to the very last detail.
And builders don’t have a very good handle on it either. They are builders, not designers! Even the design-build people don’t have a consummate handle on things. It’s totally obvious when I look at their work. A lot of them have consummate craftsmen, but very amateur and newbie interior designers and decorators on staff.
If you’re going to have the best craftsmanship, then you better well have the best design! And I’m not kidding here!
I'm an Expert in the realm of Interior Design
So, I ask the client to answer this question by describing or explaining to me… “What do you want this room or home to “feel” like?” The usual response is this… “I want my home to feel cozy and comfortable.”
Can you see the necessity of getting beyond that definition and the need to go much deeper, so that you can have the kind of ambience that is the unique expression of you and not like so many others who have not taken the time to get below the surface issues?
My next question is to ask… “What does cozy and comfortable mean to you? How do you define that?” At this point many will say… “I just never thought about it” or “I have never thought about it that deeply before.” Bingo! That’s why they have never experienced any ambiance in their home, their whole life.
Now is the time to change all of that and get you to experiencing your environment on a much higher level and in a much deeper way.
